My parents in Shaw have at least 8 Reed Buntings visiting their garden this winter, including a metal ringed male. Over the years there has often had one or two but this year has been amazing. I ringed two a couple of weeks ago but didn't catch the metal ringed one which I wanted so I could find out where they come from since there's no real habitat near the site.
Anyone know the nearest site where Reed Bunts are ringed, Pennington perhaps?
A reed bunting has been visiting my feeders every day this week. i have heard that they have been on the decline since the seventys is this true ? ? ? ?
