Geoff , As a 10 year old in the early 70`s Worsley woods was my favourite local birdwatching area and it gave me my first sightings of Gsw, Bullfinch, Treecreeper, Nuthatch and Kingfisher on the Dam. Happy days.
dave, called in to worsley woods today because l.s.w is mentioned in the 2005 county report and hoped to get lucky,no joy,but its a nice spot and woodland birding is not my strong point, those trees could tell some stories if only they could talk
Hi Geoff I`m interested to know how often the LS Woodpeckers are being seen in Worsley Woods as I have not seen one there for at least 20 years.Plenty of GS Woodys can be seen all year round as they are quite successful breeders in the woods.
