While cycling up Newton Lane today at about 10am a Red Kite was circling above the East Lancashire Road at the cross over point. It remained in this area for about 5 minutes before heading south east. Noticed it had a scruffy forked tail. After the surprise of seeing it I tried to video it on my phone but messed this up when it flew overhead by not pressing the record button hard enough and didnt realise due to the traffic noiseand sunlight.
