Any idea whats in the photos - whilst watching the ducklings on my pond I saw this dead bird on one of the stepping stones, the feet were what interested me and the fact it was about Great Tit sized tail and body, but totally black plumage (we will never know the head plumage as it wasn't there). Only been there a few hrs as it wasn't there when I was out at lunch.

Reverse Google images and AI both came up with old world flycatchers which I don't believe one bit, suspect a domestic cage bird that's escaped - Black Finch or Black Canary breed? Just trying to work out if thats the case if anyone posts on the local Facebook about missing pet birds I could at least let them know if I've their bird in my freezer!
