Friday 22nd around lunchtime, a Mink swam across Kingfisher Lodge pool (north of Drinkwater Park, east of where the River Irwell goes under the M60 north of Manchester.

American mink seen today along the river near Agecroft bridge and disappeared into Agecroft cemetry

A Mink seen again today on the Irwell between Broughton Bridge and the Adelphi Bridge.

Today's unusual sighting was a Mink, swimming close to the bank on the far side and catching a fish. Initially I wondered if it could be an otter, but a quick Google sorted that out.
