RE: Deep moss, Walmersley side of Deeply vale.

Another pm walk, this time from over Birtle edge.

The gulls were much reduced in numbers, the lapwings had all followed the spreader onto the next field ( Imm South of scotland lane, up Birtle hill ). The starlings remained but the fieldfares had increased ten fold to approx 150.

pm walk. Muck spreading in progress across the fields, the first done was the field at the Scotland lane end of the moss, at the top off castlehill rd. In this field were:- c 300 x black headed gulls

                                                                           c 20x common gulls

                                                                           c 200 lapwings

                                                                           C100 x starlings

                                                                           14 x fieldfares

the fieldfares moved to the larches at the top of walmersley golf course and were joined as I left by 4x bramblings.
