Good numbers again of the usual garden visitors over the weekend:

Goldfinch

Blue tits

Chaffinch

And also my first greenfinch of the year, female blackcap and male bullfinch.

Really good to see the local goldfinch flock back and in strong numbers...around 30.

Also two very curious jay knocking about the back garden and surrounding trees. They have been scoping out the area for a good half hour now!

Ooh, and now the first time I have seen a couple of starlings come down to feed!

A jam packed half hour from 8am before the snow which has just started falling in huge pieces!

2 long-tailed tits feeding at the bottom of the garden on fat balls

2 x male and 2 x female chaffinch who appear to be hanging out with each other an awful lot. Far better social life than mine, currently! But it cheers me up!

The usual blue tits, coal tits and goldfinch.

1 x dunnock and briefly but very heartening a wren.

My bubble garden in Urmston (I live in a mid terrace in Altrincham with a teeny tiny backyard). Large lawn area with two magnolia trees and quite a few good bushes and trees surrounding.

1 x female chaffinch who is getting rather bold. She was trying to hold her own with the regular blackbirds that visit

3 x female and 4 x male blackbirds

1 x Robin

1 x blue tit. There is a family who spend most of their time in the bush next door but they do come and feed over here

1 x coal tit

1 x male bullfinch who I was particularly excited to see. I had spotted him ever so briefly about three months ago and not since!
