NOVEMBER LOCKDOWN & THE MANCHESTER BIRDING FORUM
Permalink Closed

As we enter another (at least month long) lockdown, this forum will continue to operate as close to normal as possible and within the Government’s guidelines.

Birder’s are therefore still very welcome to post their sightings as normal from their exercise walks and so long as no one clearly ignores the Government guidelines on that, there should be no problems. Post which do however, will be removed without warning or recourse.

Whilst many will have their own views on what is or what is not acceptable and indeed on the lockdown itself, the Government has issued the following guidance regarding travelling:

-to spend time or exercise outdoors- this should be done locally wherever possible, but you can travel to do so if necessary (for example, to access an open space)

There is also no limit on the number of ‘exercise walks’ you can undertake per day but of course, they rightly ask that you should reduce the number of journeys you make.

News of any county rarities, if we’re actually lucky enough to be graced by any, will be considered for release on merit and considering social distancing and the potential for breaching any other regulations, so if possible, please at least think long and hard about releasing news or contact me first for discussion.

If anyone has any queries or comments, please do get in touch.

Stay safe and keep birding,

Ian
