I was once told by a specialist in optical equipment that most birders are going for smaller and lighter scopes these days. This was at a time when I too was looking for something lighter than what I had myself. This would be due to many factors such as cost, better quality equipment than in times past but a number also have bulky cameras and want to reduce the weight or don't fancy lugging too much bulk about. Therefore, Any device/scope above 80mm I personally feel won't be popular by any degree. But that's my personal view.....

Just curious is anyone is considering this beast?!
I remember back in the mid/late 1990's (I think) Optolyth released its TBS 100 and, despite seeing many Optolyth scopes back then, I don't think I ever saw one of those monsters, although the few reviews I saw were always positive. Similarly Pentax released a 100mm model (early 2000's I think) which never seemed to take off, although admittedly I don't think the Pentax scopes made an impact in any of their various sizes despite them being apparently popular in the states.
I know people rave about the Swaro 95mm version, especially when used with the BTX eyepiece, for sea watching, but I've also heard people complain about the weight of that set up.
So just genuinely curious if anyone is likely to be diving in to what will probably be another stunning optic if past models are anything to go by!
