35 days since my last new sighting . This morning a Wren was
mooching about in one of our hanging baskets. Bird number 34,
also 2 new robins have appeared lately.

Chiffchaff in the large tree at the end of our terrace.
Clearly seen with bins from our front garden.
This brings the total to 33.A big increase in the
number of House Sparrows visiting the garden feeders
including the occasional tree Sparrow.

4 Common Buzzards in two distinct pairs.They flew quite close together
inspected each other then one pair flew off north and the other east.
No new birds for 3 weeks.

A pair of Canada Geese flew over our house
last night at 7.30. The first since lockdown.

Bird No 31 yesterday a Sparrowhawk circling above our
garden. There are now several juvenile Starlings being
fed by parents bringing flock numbers up into the
20s and very noisy.

Bird number 30 today. A long tailed tit visited the feeders.
The Robins nesting in next door but ones outhouse fledged
earlier this week. All 5 fledged but were predated by the
resident Magpies .

overflying Pied Wagtail.

First new bird for 10 days in my garden yesterday.
Nuthatch.This is the first ever sighting for me in my
garden.It brings my garden total to 28.

3 new birds since my last blog:
All three were flyovers being Swift, Swallow and
House Martin. My garden list now stands at 27.
my walkabout list now stands at 58. A mayfly flew into
one of our garden trugs last Sunday.

Just one new bird since the last blog. A willow warbler
in a tree behind our house singing away. Latest
butterfly a Holly Blue. Total now 10. Bird total now 24.
Walkabout total now 53.

Yesterday over my back garden I witnessed an aerial
battle between a Common Buzzard and a Carrion .
Crow . It lasted over 5 minutes before they lost
interest ,parted company and both drifted south.
My garden bird list has increased by 2. An overflying
Great Black Backed Gull and a Blackcap in the large
tree at the rear of the house.
Brimstone also seen.

Only one new bird since my last blog .
A flyover pair of common gulls .This morning
however a pair of Blue Tits prospecting our
nesting box . Here's hoping! My garden butterfly
list now stands at 9 .Latest ones a speckled wood
and a peacock Bird list now 21.

1st hirundine of the year yesterday . A single Swallow .
Garden list now 20. 1st thing this morning 9 Goldfinches
in the garden, 5on the feeders and 4 on the telephone
wires.

2 new additions to my garden list yesterday :
Tree Sparrow
At about 9.30 pm last night a small flock of
Common Scoter over calling .
In my front garden was a 5 spot ladybird
(first of the year)
Garden list now 19

I live in a house in centre of a Victorian terrace . The garden is surrounded
by a 9 foot wall and is 30 feet x15 feet. It is primarily used for growing
vegetables.There is a bird table and several feeders in the centre.
Up to now 17 species seen since lockdown .
Goldfinch
Starling
Feral Pigeon
Magpie
Wood Pigeon
Black Headed Gull (over)
Collared Dove
Blue Tit
Robin
House Sparrow
Chaffinch
Common Buzzard (over)
Carrion Crow (over)
Dunnock
Blackbird
Herring Gull (over)
Lesser Black Backed Gull (over)
