This morning butterfly counts recovering after the poor weather with 18 Painted Ladies, as well as plenty of Meadow Brown, a few Common Blue, and a single Small Tortoiseshell, with several whites on the wing. Odonata comprised several Common Darters, 3 Brown Hawkers, a probable Southern Hawker on the wing, 2 Black-tailed Skimmers well away from water, on the paths.
On the way out, 2 Bank Voles crossed my path.
