We have just taken in on a commission basis a cracking pair of Opticron Binoculars, these early Opticrons are rare and very smart and have recently been back to Opticron for a full service. They are the Opticron 8x30 HQC as verified by Opticron but show no results on a Google Search! The are a roof prism, twin hinged 8x30 with mainly metal barrels with a rubber area for gripping. They have an integral cord neckstrap. The eyecups are the rubber fold up/down type. These are made in Japan and were last produced in 2003 so are between 16 and 20 years old. They are not waterproof and come in an aftermarket carry case. If anyone wants an unusual pair of bins that will become, or already may be, a collectors item then these are a great start at a good price. I have found none for sale anywhere but have confirmed with Opticron Service that spare parts are still available for them. The condition is good due to their recent service which cost £150. Due to bereavement these are on sale for ONLY £130.
