- 1 adult Yellow-legged Gull currently on the 384 building. Bill pattern and the dull leg colour look good for the individual that's been here on and off last couple of weeks.
Just for the record if anybody wanted to know, I've just had an email back from Lee Barber.
-Confirmed as an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull. -First ringed in May 2017 at Barrow-in-Furness docks. -97 miles away / 192 days ago -This bird is of particular interest as it was fitted with a GPS tag that was attached to a harness designed to drop off eventually, this sighting could signify a 'drop off' event. Cheers

- 1 adult Yellow-legged Gull (same one 3rd time this week) - 8 Great Black-backed Gulls minimum (2 juv / 1st W types, 6 ad types but some different to yesterday, different bill patterns, red spot) - 4 Argentatus Herring Gull - 1 yellow ringed Lesser Black-backed Gull ring no. D4:W exactly how it is with a colon. Any ideas Ian?
- Also...1 adult Yellow-legged Gull. It's the same bird as the other day and after analysing the images I'm almost 100% certain it's the same bird that was here 22nd Feb and then 28th Feb. Images are on Bits Bobs Odds Sods of this Gull for those 2 earlier dates. I'm sure it's the same Gull.
1 adult Yellow-legged Gull (Not one of the Smithfield lot but bill pattern looks familiar, I'm sure I've seen it before) 4 adult Great Black-backed Gulls (1 of which was huge) 3 Argentatus Herring Gull
Loads of Gulls present this afternoon (bit like Smithfield this morning)...
- 1 Yellow-legged Gull flying round, could be the single bird from Smithfield - 4 adult Great Black-backed Gulls present and possibly 6 juv / 1st winter birds too - 5 Argentatus Herring Gull minimum - 2 adult Common Gulls harassing the Black-headed Gulls
An absolute mass of Gulls flying around when I pulled up for a break, making it impossible to pick anything out. When some of them did finally land on the 384 roof, the immediate stand out birds were... 2 Argentatus Herring Gull 1 Black-headed Gull with full dark brown head and very bright red bill and legs
Stopped off here this afternoon after a quick visit to Smithfield Market.
Lots of Gulls, more than I've seen in a while, inc lots of Large Gulls c40-50. Most of them mobile and hard to keep track of but of note that landed on the 384 roof... 1 Great Black-backed Gull 3 (4?) Argentatus Herring Gull
Argentatus Herring Gull present again this afternoon on the 384 building. Looks like the same individual as yesterday. Great Black-backed Gull just turned up too!
