As big as a large Dog she said Vic, I'd say Rottweiler comes a bit lower down the list to the usual suspects in that area of Cynology.
Is she saying there are Gulls as big as a Great Dane, St.Bernard, Leonberger, etc???
Ian, Pete and the other Gullers need to get up to Aberdeen sharpish and help rewrite the record books with proof of these monstrous Larid's before they disperse as winter comes to an end!
biggrin

Over exaggeration i call that! Or either that we have a real epidemic of jurassic park like pterodactyls. Shame that though- you get one or two gulls that go one step too far after been hand fed by the public and the entire flock gets condemned by the authorities.

Something has obviously been lost in translation here, and if you've ever been to Aberdeen, you'll know what I mean (think of Gordon Strachan trying to do a ventrilloquist act with Alex Ferguson as the dummy).

Sounds as if there's possibly been an influx of Albatrosses; - a fitting finale to the riches of last autumn?

An article on MSN News quotes a number of MPs as wanting a cull on gulls in towns that are attacking children , pensioners etc. Nothing particularly new about that except for the following -

SNP MP Kirsty Blackman (Aberdeen North) said her constituency is home to giant seagulls that can terrorise the community.

Gesturing to mimic the size of the giant gulls, she said: "The Aberdeen seagull is the size of a large dog, it is absolutely ginormous, and it regularly gets mentioned.

"People that come to uni in Aberdeen from Glasgow or from elsewhere in Scotland or England are shocked at the size of these creatures because, they are not like normal seagulls, they are ginormous."

Gulls the size of a Rottweiler coming to a town near you - be afraid, be very afraid !
