I have had contact from a good friend, who is a birder, about her pet parrot. She was cleaning her African Grey out over the weekend when the bird was startled by a loud bang and escaped. The parrot was subsequently seen again but a group of children inadvertently scared her away. As I say she is an African Grey Parrot and was lost in Barnton on the edge of Northwich, Cheshire. Her home is in the Tunnel Top area of Barnton and she was seen in the vicinity of the locks on the canal. She is a nervous bird, being a rescue parrot, but responds to a whistle.
