RE: Field Guide to birds of Cuba

Cheers for that Rob, greatly appreciate your time and effort, what I really want now is advice from someone who has used one of these guide books actually in Cuba.
Cheers Ian

Thought I'd use my time constructively and have a look for you Ian whilst waiting for breakdown arriving for my works vehicle.

The main guide that comes up on google, Ebay, etc is the one by Arturo Kirkconnell published in 2000, seems a good one, BUT I did come across this...

A Birdwatchers' Guide to Cuba, Jamaica, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico and the Caymans
Item no. 1871104122, priced at £17.99

This one is a lot later published in 2010, covers all of over 550 species either likely to see or even just recorded in the covered areas, lists 80 recommended sites with maps, and what to look for at each one, and gives info on accomadation in the area.

Hope this is of help Ian.
Cheers
Rob
