just had a flock of a dozen crossbills fly straight over my head while stood outside the front door in gamesley. they were heading in lees hill direction (east)
this came as quite a shock, there's a rather bright red male in with them. but that's as far as i got in identification to type as even i don't carry my bins to take something out to the bin
