RE: Save Pomona

This as important message to all birders who know and visit Pomona.

There is another planning application for Pomona. Ref is 93779/FUL/18 so if you go to Trafford council's website, search planning applications you should find it and comment whether you object or approve.

Peel already cleared most of the scrub before they submitted the planning application probably because they know they can get away with it and because they think there is less chance of objection from the public.

Also, if you have any biological records please submit them to GMEU as soon as you can.

Many thanks

Zoe

Sorry that I missed this day; it would be a terrible shame if this site were lost; will e-mail the council, and would also like a link to your petition, if possible.

Pomona Docks, the site on Salford Quays with the highest biodiversity levels, currently under threat

All Salford Quays birders know how amazing this site is, for breeding birds, passage migrant birds, for flora and bees, and and what a green gem it is, just a mile from Manchester City Centre

There is a Save Pomona campaign that has lots of public support

A change.org petition, in about 2 weeks, has over 1,500 signatures

There is growing support for the area to become an Eden Project For The North

Comments and objections can be sent to

development.control@trafford.gov.uk

Please get emails to Trafford Council Planning ASAP

To speak to the Case Officer, the number is 0161-912-1485

There is a wildlife recording event on Pomona Day, Thursday 13th August, 11am-2pm

Sorry to have missed your Pomona Day James. It would be great to know how it went and how many species you got cheers Tim
