I have taken,Squirrels,Magpies,Woodpigeons,to the local vet, that have been seriously injured, only because I have not had the courage to put them out of their misery
Paul it was Leigh and Wigan RSPCA and they did actually advise me to take it to a local vet. I have no transport at the minute so was unable to take it. I don't think it would of survived even if they would of come out to collect it. It had took a serious mauling poor bird.
Scott please can you tell me what number you rang and time of call, I will like to take issue with the advise you were given,
If anyway has an injured animal then all vets will treat for free, just pop it in a box and take it along to your local vet, as for leaving it, yes its the natural order of things but, its not nice .
Blackbird has died unfortunately, rung RSPCA this morning and they said there was nothing they could do due to the seriousness of the birds injuries, looks like it was had by cat in my opinion.
I have a seriously injured Blackbird in my garden this morning with quite significant wing damage does anybody know what I can do for it or a number to ring to have it collected it's an adult male?
