On the way over to Liverpool early this afternoon to see our new grandson, born this morning at 04.18, there was a Great Grey Shrike on top of one the smaller slip-road side trees as we joined the M56 motorway at junction 8 - had an excellent view as my wife was driving.
On the return journey as we were crossing the M6 Thelwall Viaduct at dusk there were 100's of Starlings heading west presumably joining the roost at Woolston Eyes.
