Clifton Country Park (Other Wildlife)

Clifton Country Park has a old Arboretum attached to the old house. In part overgrown and fresh planting continues. Some really good trees are hidden in here including huge English Yews, Irish Yew, Cut Leaved Beech, Katsura Tree, another Dawn Redwood, Italian Popular, Norway Maple, Meddler, Sawara Cyprus, Persian Ivy and more to ID. I think I'm in Tree period as I also recently searched out and found a young but huge Giant Redwood/Wellingtonia in Dobcross. Other good sites for trees include Marie Loise Garden Didsbury, Abraham Moss Botanical Garden Didsbury and Fogg Lane Park again didsbury and even Chesham LNR which has a large Cut Leaved Beech Turkey Oak Red Oak in the old grounds of one of the houses.
