A second collared dove has just died in my garden. The first was two weeks ago. The bird looks unwell, dejectedly pecking at its normal food which it cannot swallow. It then wanders off, feathers puffed out, into a corner and dies. Have others experienced this?

Hi Fred,
I posted this problem on the forum last year on May 21st 2013. Go to the search bar and type in this thread below.
"RE: Reddish Vale Country Park LNR and environs"
It's all linked to Canker in Pigeons, Frounce in falcons and believe it or not Thrush in Humans!

Have a look at this page of the BTO Garden Bird Watch website: http://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/gbw/gardens-wildlife/garden-birds/disease

You can report the symptoms via the website and hopefully get an answer.
