Have today received my newsletter, with the sad announcement that the group is closing after 40 years. Is this just a sign of things to come, such a shame.
Keep Birding.
Paul,
It's not a sign of things to come if Stockport RSPB is anything to go by. It's been bursting at the seams the last few meetings. If we attract some of the Manchester folk it'll be standing room only.
Peter Wolstenholme was a great inspiration to me as a kid and helped to build a life long interest in birds, my late Grandfather was secretary of the group, a shame to see its demise.
That is a real shame. I go to the Bolton group and I really enjoy the talks. The Speakers teasing us with new areas to dream about visiting. And I also like and enjoy all the birding trips. Its very sad that the manchester group is closing
