RE: Pennington Flash Wildlife & Heritage Fair

Fair was a great success, great to meet the birders who popped in to say hello, hopefully a few will nip out to the shop for a coffee & a chat again. Brilliant to be next to the RSPB stall and especially as Austin Morley was manning it smile Good fun to have a fellow forum member as company during the day, especially to discuss things like Tropicbird sightings from Cornwall on the pager!!

Nice to see Ian too and pass on his Swarovski strap that he needed. Chatting with Peter Alker the resounding success of the event could make it an annual fixture on the Pennington Flash Calendar smile

This coming Sunday, 18th August, Red Rose Forest are running a Wildlife & Heritage Fair at Penington Flash CP. There will be a marquee on the field behind the Visitor Centre and lots of events and stalls are planned. The event is to celebrate the opening of Lghtshaw hall Flash as a birding venue so pop along and support Red Rose for all that they have done to make the site more accessible for us all.

Focalpoint Optics will be there as the Binocular and Telescope specialists with several makes & models of binoculars & scopes to try out. We will also have a range of kids wildlife guides at pocket money prices smile

Pop along and see us & have a chat, if you need any optics checking over or cleaning bring those along too smile

The event runs from 11.30am-4pm, but we expect to be set up before then. I look forward to welcoming as many Forum Members as possible, please make yourselves known as forum users, see you on Sunday biggrin
