RE: Frodsham Cut


Had another really pleasant walk around the area this morning, at the Cut there were 61 Black-tailed Godwits, 6 Oystercatchers, 4 Shovelers and my first Willow Warbler of the year. Good numbers of butterflies involved mainly Peacocks and Small Tortoiseshells and 2 Brimstones.

Had a walk along the River Weaver today, at Frodsham Cut a pool by the lock held 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, about 40 Teal and 6 Shoveler, the area on the other side of the Cut held 4 Common Sandpipers, another Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Yellow Wagtails and a minimum of 15 White Wagtails, a further 4 Common Sandpipers were along the banks of the river.
