The public consultation on this ends on March 31st. The Marine Conservation Society are looking for a last push to put as much presssure on as possible to get the maximum number of sites recognised.

The wildlife trusts are coordinating a campaign to ensure that the government commits to protecting a minimum of the 31 zones selected out of the 127 zones proposed. This legislation is potentially ground-breaking but only if it is water-tight! They need us as passionate advocators of the environment to put forward thoughts and issues relating to the zones and legislation to protect them.
