ive been to this place and it is great for owls, also for harriers, there was also a great grey shrike here not that long back, ive been sharing a link to this petition on my Facebook for about a week now, there over the 500 mark now, please keep signing, Ian is correct, there are great numbers of owls recorded here, i remember a record of 18 Short eared owls last year and there also a pair of Barn owl resident,

I know many county birders have enjoyed excursions to Worlarby Carrs in Lincolnshire, mainly for its rather huge wintering raptor population (think over 20 Short-eared Owls at any one time in winter!). It seems this site is now seriously under thread and with it the loss of an extremely (nationally?) important habitat for many bird species. I have been asked to post the link below so you might put your name to the petition to try and save it; whether we're 'weeing into the wind' or not in trying to save it, its surely worth a try anyway?
