An early start for myself and Alex Jones this morning to Firsby Hall Farm for the reported adult female Pallid Harrier.
On arrival before dawn, we stood in the area where the bird has been seen going to roost.
After 20 minutes or so, the Harrier thankfully flew out of the roosting site and good views were had as it flew low across the hedgerows and fields with the overall jizz and structure of the species being clear to see.
Unfortunately, it had not returned by the time we decided to leave but we went home very happy as this was a lifer for us both.
