Shell Nature Reserve is one of the most important sites within Greater Manchester and now desperately seeks the assistance of county birders.
Three very recent break-ins on the reserve have left the wooden equipment sheds, used for storing equipment and the like required to maintain this excellent site, completely unusable and the reserve is now seeking a metal shipping container. The conservation group at Shell Nature Reserve does not have sufficient funds to purchase a container and although the landowners have been approached, it seems very unlikely they may supply one.
Therefore I ask that if any birders out there know of a contact which may be able to supply a shipping container, either free of charge or at a very reduced price, would they please contact me with any details as a matter of urgency. This would be hugely appreciated.
