Received the first ever county report I've purchased this week, and definitely wont be my last - very informative, clear layout and excellent quality - my congratulations to the team! Peter
I have received mine and have to agree with all the favourable comments made, the bar has been set very high indeed. Looking forward to the next one. Very well done to all concerned.
Stockport Optics has already run out of 2010 County Bird Reports so I will be endeavouring to get some over to them asap. If you intend to pick one up from there in the future, it may be worth reserving one with them.
I bought two, one to go into the 200 Club library with the whole collection. The other I have in my van, going to give it a field trial see how it holds up to the riggers of everyday use.
Nice report, quality is outstanding, and we get another one in a few months.
I have to agree with Tim. when it came through the letterbox and crashed to the floor i thought what the hell is that? I dont remember ordering any new Bird books recently. a heavy book stuffed with info. Well worth a measly 7 quid. Superb. Looking forward to the next one. Come on Ian.

Just got my copy of the 2010 bird report today, and have to say I'm really impressed by the quality of the report. The photographs are first class, and the overall layout makes it very readable. Its well worth the £7 cost.A lot of work and thought has obviously gone into its production, congratulations to all who helped with it,
I am now in possession of the all new 2010 Greater Manchester County Bird Report and frankly, it looks fantastic (well, I think so)! Thanks for all your patience whilst the new report team took the necessary time to produce this, its very first report which is entirely new in design, layout and print production.
Copies are now available and can be obtained from me directly by post (see address below) or copies will also be available at selected outlets. Those locations currently distributing the report are (this list will be added to as other sites are confirmed):
1/. MARC the Printers on Edge Street, Manchester City Centre (in the Northern Quarter). Payment on site is by cash only or alternatively copies can be picked up from here once payment by cheque has been sent to and received by me.
Many of you have already pre-ordered your copy and one has been saved for you but in all instances (pre-ordered or not) please provide payment (in full, including postage if necessary) and an address for the report to be sent to.
The report is priced at £7, plus £1.40p (second class) postage. Postage has increased from Royal Mail and the report is also heavier than usual, so I will endeavour to provide copies of the report to as many outlets as will stock it but in the meantime I couldn't wait to announce its arrival
All cheques must be made payable to 'GREATER MANCHESTER BIRD RECORDING GROUP' and sent to: - Ian McKerchar, 42 Green Avenue, Astley, Greater Manchester. M29 7EH.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at ianmckerchar1@gmail.com for any queries or to reserve your copy prior to me receiving payment.
Finally, please support your county's birds and birding by purchasing a copy of the 2010 County Bird Report. It remains the definitive (and only!) account of the birds recorded during 2010 and is packed with features new and old which will enhance your birding.
