Last one, I promise! In the summer i've been allowed to go to Shetland on holiday, about mid-late June as i've got exams earlier than that. I haven't made any concrete plans, as I thought i'd ask first about where to go once there. I'd have a number of species that i'd aim to see, if its illegal to disclose specific locations please don't, but i'd be immensely grateful for whatever help anyone could give help on finding:
- Golden Plover - Dunlin - Whimbrel - Red Throated Diver - Red Necked Phalarope- I know there's an RSPB place in the north on Fetlar but is there an established place closer to the Lewick or Sumbrugh? - Bonxie - Arctic Skua - Twite - Storm Petrel - Seabirds in there colony
There'd only be one lifer in there, but I'd love to watch them in a moorland scenario! I think you could get them all on Fetlar, has anyone visited there or knows anything about it?
