Cheers for the links guys, I'd already checked RSPB but hadn't thought to check NWBF, where I found reasonably good directions. However, I arrived at 8am and spent a longer-than-planned 2 hours roaming around the area where the bird has been seen most frequently, but unfortunately it didn't show. A few other birders looking for it also had no joy and as far as I'm aware it's not been reported today. Never mind hey!!
My day quickly improved however with 2 (at least) surf scoter off Llandulas and 15 snow bunts at Kinmel bay on my way home! :D
I'm going to North Wales in the morning and I'm hoping to pop into RSPB Conwy to have a look for my first firecrest. I'll probably get there before the visitors centre is open as I won't have long there, so can anyone point me in the direction of where the firecrest has been spending its time, incase there is no one around when I arrive?
