Thanks Nick and Joe. Ive had a look at the opticron mighty midget today, believe it or not.! Was quite impressed but only tried in shop so going to try at Focalpoint tomorow. And at £150 is within my price range and its very compact too.!
Opticron Mighty Midget is my current scope. Its nowhere near the clarity of some of the bigger scopes, but compact, and the image quality is good enough to ID most things in most light. I personally really like it, no need to lug anything big about especially since I carry a camera too! Its all personal preferance, i'd try martin mere's In Focus to see what the various options feel like to you. Good luck!
If £150 is all you have to spend then your best bet will be a second hand scope. Check out the websites of Pennine Photographic centre, Focal Point and In Focus. They all sell used and second hand scopes and you should be able to find a scope that suits you and your pocket.
As for the scope manufacturer then you'll be hard pushed to get a second hand Swarovski or Zeiss for that amount but you might find a decent Opticron.
Hi all.! Hope you had a great xmas.! I am on the look out for a new scope. I have about £150 to spend so probably be a second hand one. Any ideas what are the best on the market for this price at the mo.? Also personal preferences and experiences would be welcome. Thanks.
