Lots of Banded Demoiselles by the concrete bridge over the inlet to the flash at the western end today; and yes, they're the only ones I can, or indeed can be bothered to, identify!

Good to see many Butterflies out at the weekend
Brimstone-in fairly good numbers-20+(mainly north bank to the west end)
Small Tortoiseshell-5
Peacock-c10
Comma-4
Only ever seen a few of Clouded yellows at the flash and never before June as far as I can remember, as they are migrants that to the UK.

Amazing views of a Weasel from Bunting Hide. It was flowing in between the stones and sticks on the ground and in and out of small holes like quicksilver.

Photo-opps second to none and I am camera-less at present!! cry

Thankfully there was another birder there clicking away - should be some cracking pics there. smile

09.30-11.30

4 Meadow Brown, 1 Common Blue & 1 Small Skipper butterflies on the

meadow (North West corner)

A smallish dark butterfly fluttering along the bottom of an hedgerow on the

South East corner of the park fitted the description of a Ringlet. From

what I've read online since these butterflies are rare in GM. However, on

viewing quite a few good internet photos of them since I'm convinced

now it was a Ringlet. Also1 Southern Hawker dragonfly was near the

Teal hide

Sunday 30 Oct pm with Tony Darby

A splendid Giant Puffball visible through a hedge in a field on the way to the East Bay to twitch the Red-crested Pochard. It was literally bigger than a football!
