Having spent a good deal of time doing atlas surveys on Featherbed Moss this year, I can tell you that when they say the ground will be "soft in places" they really mean it!
Waders might be a better option than wellies after the rain we've had this week but, if the sun does come out, it is a fantastic place - so long as you don't expect too many birds...
