3 Whinchats and 2 Stonechats around the compound by the White House pub nr Blackstone Edge Res'r this afternoon - thanks to Steve Atkins for finding them

I took a friend of mine a local bird watcher to see my local patch this morning,in about two hours of near fruitless birding we were pleased to record a splendid Dark phase Arctic Skua.We picked the bird up flying into the strong North-East wind.This is my second record for this species the other record from Hollingworth about Twenty years ago.Cheers Alan
