James, I've copied your post to the established Hope Carr thread. Browse it's three years worth of sightings and you'll get a feel for the site. The Manchester Birding website also has a detailed site guide.

Obviously I've also closed this thread to stop further postings on it which should go on the existing one

bad weather looks agood place

5 tree sparrows - near bridge
3 bullfinch
4 chaffinch
50 jackdaw-flying

main lake
mostly frozen suprised to see:

2 grey heron
6 wigeon on a little bit of water
12 mallard

do they get birds on them mud flats ?confuse.gif
