necked grebes

Well, quite incredibly, Greater Manchester has now entertained all 6 grebes on the Britsh list this year alone and all of them (depending how long this Pied-billed stays for I suppose) have been long-stayers. There's still a fair chance that you could catch up with the two remaining grebes you require though Jason, especially over the large area you specify.

having been lucky enough to see the slavonian grebe last saturday and the pied billed on wednesday, we were discussing the chances of seeing the 2 which we haven't so far seen.

the red necked and black necked.
how likely would you chaps think it would be that we could see both of these species before the year is out?
preferably within the area between clumber park and leighton moss. and short stayers are highly unlikely to be seen.
