Thanx for info Jimmy. yeh, tried that way and was greeted by security fence. any idea who owns the pond.? fishing club.? in other words if i stumbled across a way in,would i be trespassing.?

Sorry to say there is no legal way to get to Walmsley or Limey as its known as locally
at one time you could wallk through the industrial estate left at little railway bridge but last time i knew the owners had put a fence up at the top of the i dont know if its still that way as i always look from the canal towpath.
There is or was ideas muted about to turning it into a marina but i have not heard anything of late.

I work on miry lane + sumtimes walk along canal+douglas in lunch break. saw goosanders at walmsleys pond last winter,and was wondering if ther was a legal way to get to the pond. just view from otha side of canal at mo. i know its owned by anglers association,but no idea how they get to it. can anyone help.?
