thanks Ian I will have to keep watching I would never have thought Gulls had that much speed and manoeuvrability, Terns I could see them catching flies easily. (sorry i put in listings did not know how to move it)

It is indeed normal Terry, including many other gull species too.

Is it normal behaviour for Little Gulls to catch flies. I watched it Sunday and it was happy to be witn a colony of black heads but when they were feeding on the hoards of bread being tossed in by people feeding ducks it did not bother. Met someone today at PF who said someone had seen it chasing flies?
