Matt I was told about Cotebrook by a chap I met at Delamere and yes it's worth a visit if only for the Mandarins - just go to the car park between the Alvaney Arms pub and the Lakeside cafe and you can see just about the full lake. We sat and had a coffee in the car but the light was fading too much to check out what was further down apart from the usual suspects on this type of small lake - Mallard, Coot, domestic ducks and some hybrids.

After Delamere today went over to Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre, on the A49 near Tarporley
where there are 30 - 40 Mandarin ducks on the small lake there. It seems that they just pitched up about 10 days ago - an amazing sight smile.gif
