gruesome watching indeed!

easy to find the clip on youtube, just double click the video in ian's link...

bird's fond of both snipe and woodcock it seems - interesting to see it didn't eat the woodcock for 16 days - liking their game birds hung and matured!

Not a new hunting technique for Perergine but interesting to see nevertheless. Prepare to feel sorry for the poor Woodcock! There is better footage directly on Youtube but that's for you to find, I'm not a fan of Youtube links on this forum I'm afraid. I've checked this particular link and it's fine. Thanks to Paul Hammond for sending it to me in the first place.
