Records for 2009

First of all, many thanks to all those who have contributed to this website in 2009. All the significant records are entered in my daybook (records where there is no number given will not usually be entered up)
You'll realise that these amount to several thousand records ( I think it was around 5000 last year) and whether or not they go onto the all-important county database depends on the following guidelines I have set myself:

Audenshaw Resrs - none go onto the database as I get a comprehensive report for the site from Roy Travis. If you've recorded birds at Audi and not entered them in the book in the hide, make sure Roy has them.

BTO Birdtrack/Atlas records - if I know you have been a regular contributor to Birdtrack in the past I will not enter up your records, as I'll assume I will get them via Birdtrack. If you don't intend to use Birdtrack you need to let me know. Atlas - I shan't enter up records which have said they are from a TTV as I will get those anyway from the BTO.

Those kind people who took the trouble to enter their records on a recording form, downloadable elsewhere on this website, in 2009 - I will assume you'll be doing the same this year, so I will not enter up your records unless you tell me otherwise.
I have already received 3 sets of records today for which many thanks.

As many of you are aware, my time for the foreseeable future is limited as my 95-year old mother is ill longterm- this means I am away from home every afternoon and may have to live away from home again in the near future, so my internet access will be limited. So any help you can give me by entering up your own records will be greatly appreciated. Steve Atkins can given you any technical advice or help you might need initially.

The county report is only as good as the records make it!

A happy New Year to all and I hope it will be filled with rarities and even better, that we have an excellent breeding season.
