I have a picture of one in the Out of Country Gallery, click on the thumbnail of the Saudi Arabia and Bahrain sub gallery. We get them twice a year, on the southern and then on the northern migration. You hear them before seeing them as they are usually in a flock and constantly call. I think they are brilliant birds and they always bring a smile to my face. smile.gif

Thanks Sid,
I re-entered it and got all the info. I checked my google history and saw I had put a hyphen between blue and cheeked so that changed the results. Another senior moment I suppose.
cheers,
Mike

I have just googled this bird and gone thro' 13 pages without a reference to it. Lots of other blue bits, tails and breasts etc. What am I missing?
