RE: new forum colour

Logging on today I find the colour resembles a wash of muddy water.

Ah, I get it now, it's a menu! Now there are three items in it I realise - You have to click the word "quote". Not used to seeing a menu with just one option.

Yes, I've got the same thing as Paul.

As to the colours....sun, sea & sand? They remind me of a set of abstract costume designs (not mine) for a student production of "Much Ado About Nothing" at the University Theatre several decades ago. They were supposed to reflect the sun sea and sand of the Mediterranean setting of the play, but everyone called it the "fried egg show"!hmm.gif

I noticed the pics on the main site changing, but as sometimes one or two are mine, I would.

As for web colours, I don't like white text on pale backgrounds - as I work on Bury Council's website and we have to try to make sure the sire is accessible for people with eyesight problems, it's a bit of a thing for me (always calculting contrasts are high enough etc.)

The quote function works fine and as it always has for me Paul?

Those who have been on the forum long enough know I used to change the colour regularly, I'm not one for 'keeping things as they are for no good reason'. That said I was fiddling with the colour for the 10 minutes I had before I went to work so it won't look like this for long, well not exactly anyway. I'm not too keen on it myself!

I bet many don't notice the photos on the manchster birding home page change every so often though, but you change a colour and oooof...

Something seems to have happened to the QUOTE button though - it doesn't seem to put the HTML in the reply anymore. Hate the new colour BTW.

I don't usually keep the colour as long as the last one either but given it is summer I can't help fiddling. I'm not done yet either

thought my comp was playing up for a minute there ! Had to refresh it a few times, very "summery" (if that is a word) i can't think of a bird with this colour scheme.
