First trip to Southstack RSPB reserve on Sunday 24th May and really enjoyed it.
From the 2 hours 30min journey down and from leaving the lower carpark, excellent sightings of Wheatears m and f showed. Mipits +++ everywhere. Some excellent views of Stonechats and Skylarks around with also Ravens and Choughs feeding in the surrounding meadows. Jackdaws and Carrion Crows where in good numbers also. Down on the path leading to the suspension bridge, at least 6 Puffins, loads of Guillemots, Kittiwakes and Razorbills covered the cliff edges. Fulmars where are out at sea and a scope was best suited in viewing these birds. Lesser black-backed gulls, Herring Gulls and Blackheaded gulls a plenty.
Was sorry to leave at the end of the day, but will visit again very soon
