RE: Bucklow Hill

Whilst driving to work in Knutsford this morning 0812 , a Red Kite drifted over the A556 towards Rostherne Mere.
It came from the direction of the phone mast on the right as I was driving and headed straight for Rostherne, not the best road to birdwatch from whilst driving but definitely a Red Kite, forked tail was prominent.
Could this be the bird from last week ?...

Paul i,d dearly love to tick it but bucklow hill is firmly in cheshireno.gif and the kite flew over the horizon towards dunham?? furious.gifbut it might be the bird that has had several references in g.m. around carrington, dunham and the mossesconfuse.gifconfuse.gif so a tick might not be that far awaybiggrin.gif

Geoff, surely if it flew towards Dunham it flew over the county boundary, therefore giving you an excellent county tick?

If Not still a good sighting.

keep birding
