Its a bad idea to bring this up againconfuse.gif

Its imaginary and in my head, many moons ago we joked about the lack of GM birders who had not seen 200 birds in Greater Manchester, we were guilty of not birding in our local patch.

As a joke the 200 club was suggested along the same lines as the UK 400 club. it has resulted in very off the wall remarks a lot of in -house jokes etc,

I am a big Monty Pythons Fan Spike Milligan, and read Jasper FForde books, you have to be mad or disturbed to understand this ldea.

All Gm birders who put there lists up can be 200 club members, if for fun and should not detract, from proper birding in Gm.

keep birding.

The 200 club is a very elite club for people who have seen 200 species in Greater Manchester. If you spot a member of the 200 club you must immediately bow down and worship them as getting that many birds is a real achievement. You have to have:
A - not got a life outside birding
B - not had a job for years
C - have plenty of money
D - live halway between Pennington and Wigan Flashes
E - be a damn fine birder

Most of the 200 club fall into category 'E'.

Audenshaw is permit only.

Stuart will pm you, and ask Ian to add this thread into the ongoing imaginary 200 club link.

Keep birding
