Seeing as everyone else is having 3 guesses im going to add Shore Lark and Red-throated Pipit to my already mentioned Wilson's Phalarope... And i'm going to find them all, at the Wigan Flashes wink.gif

Bluethroat (on the spit at Pennington). How about a good Warbler - Raddes I think, and final choice something a bit more colourful - Bee eater.

Ah well, I didn't scrutinise the other predictions. Like I said, they are my predictions and I didn't think it was a competition or anything like that!?

As for Bearded Tit, stranger things have happened!?

Hoopoe has already been taken (Paul Wilson) as has confirmed breeding Hobby (Ian Campbell), also Bearded Tit is rarer than Hoopoe in the county

i think there has been a record of wilsons phal from pennington in the past, seen by charlie owen but the record wasnt submited, anyway i will go for
1.marsh sandpiper
2.spotted sandpiper
3.purple heron
hope to see some of the following which i need for the county, bewicks, curlew sandpiper, quail, osprey, black-throated diver, great grey shrike, pec sand, red kite , barnacle, red crested pochard, avocet and yellow browed warbler.
