Following the thread on South Manchester Ring-necked Parakeets/Amazon Parrot there is currently a male Superb Parrot consorting with Starlings in the Higher Poynton area. Near where the Cattle Egret was, so not far from the county boundary. This is in addition to at least 2 Ring-necked Parakeets, which have been seen (mostly) around Poynton.
The Superb Parrot has quite a long tail and could possibly be mistaken for a Ring-necked Parakeet on a fleeting view.
